About Us

Calandra Thomas is the owner and founder of Extraordinary Healthcare. She is a Registered Nurse with over 20 years of healthcare experience serving adult and pediatric clients in inpatient, outpatient, and in-home settings. Calandra holds a BSN from Columbus State University and will complete her MSN in Informatics from Walden University in 2022. She is a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and a role model in her community. She has managed professional staff from the RN to MSN level and mentors nurses who are new to the profession.

Calandra’s career has allowed her to train and serve at some of the country’s top adult and pediatric facilities. She is proficient at stabilizing high acuity patients with traumatic injuries requiring an extraordinary level of care. Her clinical expertise includes extensive knowledge of advanced wound care therapies such as collagen, biological dressings, biological skin equivalents, silver products, intermittent pneumatic compression therapy, and negative pressure wound therapy. She is also highly skilled in patient education, including discharge planning and post-operative care.

She has crafted a team that is competent at facilitating multi-modal care with other ancillary health care services.
